Love Poem

Steven Sterious '26

Between the dark and daylight

There is dawn

The dawn is in between the dark and the light

It is the path to take when you don’t know which side you’re on

It’s for those who are lost, for those who are broken, and for those who were betrayed

Many people take the path of dawn, some don’t even know it

I take the path of dawn

Because of her

She took everything

There was nothing left of me

There was nothing to believe

There was nothing to feel

I once loved

It was great

Until it put me on the path of dawn

Did you want to see me broken?

Love left me hollow

In the end, we’re apart

I’m Cold, crippled,and shallow

Don’t leave me here again

You didn’t have to do this to me

You didn’t have to end us like this

You didn’t have to end me like this

You gave up the chance to save

The only life you could save
